Where do I begin with this Zimmermann look? It’s really the stuff of sartorial daydreams, but then again I wouldn’t expect anything less from one of my favourite brands.
The gorgeous hue of both the shirt and shorts is the most delicate shade of pink and really gives this ensemble a feminine touch. However it never becomes overly saccharine, with the strong silhouette of the button down and shorts.
This set is further elevated by the little accents and finishing touches. The broderie anglaise detailing, the statement belt and the oversized cuffs with buttons bring it to life, giving it more depth.
When it came to adding the ideal final touch, I couldn’t go past a structured basket bag by Sparrows Weave. It’s got the ideal relaxed yet polished vibe to perfectly complement such a pretty set, and also adds some great texture to my entire look.
Escaping from the cold Sydney weather to go on a family holiday to Daydream Island the past week enabled me to shed my winter woolies (even if it was just a few days) for easy breezy resort wear dressing, which I’ve always got a soft spot for.
Slides are always my number one footwear choice whenever I’m going somewhere warm as they’re comfortable and chic and keep me cool all at the same time. I’ve been wanting to wear these Dior slides for ever so long and was glad to finally have the chance to do so.
Whilst straw bags are still going strong throughout winter they’re especially perfect for anywhere tropical so this Sparrows Weave top handle bag felt right at home around the resort. Topped off with white Emma Mulholland sunglasses, I was ready for whatever the day had in store.
If there’s one thing I love it’s outfits that are versatile and wearable. This look by Veronica Maine definitely ticks both boxes. It’s got a polished vibe and both pieces can easily be worn back with other items in my wardrobe when I don’t want to wear them as a set. Also the rich burgundy shade is just made for winter.
Being able to work a look for day and night is also really important to me. I need to know that I can wear something to the office then quickly add a few accessories or change my shoes and it’s event appropriate. The classic pleated skirt and boatneck top work well together creating a sophisticated silhouette that’s easily adaptable depending on what I’m doing.
With such a beautiful hue to work with I wanted to keep my shoe choice quite minimalist so opted for these simple Tony Bianco heels. I’ve found translucent straps are really quite effective in being able to work seamlessly with any look as they’re so pared back, plus I find they also help elongate the legs which is a huge plus. I’m really into natural textures when it comes to my accessories of late and this straw top handle bag adds a light unexpected feature to my ensemble.
