Australian Fashion Week Wrap Up: Day 1

12th May, 2019

What I wore: Aje Resort

What inspired my look today: I was lucky enough to be able to wear this beautiful look from the Aje Resort collection that was shown tonight. It featured a bold pink-on-black print, with a tie up back detail and billowy sleeves.

Where I went: The Rocks

Fave trend/show today: I absolutely loved the recurring voluminous sleeves we saw come down the run way, combined with exaggerated ruffles. Aje made a point of taking inspiration from the Australian landscape, we saw dresses resembling gum nuts and chiffon layers that reminded me of native wildlife.

Pretty as a picture: I loved these looks, captured with my Huawei P30Pro from the front row today!

Everyone was wearing: Pink, pink, pink… I’m predicting fuchsia, and bright colour blocking for this up coming resort. Bold colours that we haven’t seen in a while have made a comeback, think bright greens and canary yellows.

What I ate: Came home to my girls greeting me with a bunch of flowers for Mother’s Day and a pizza-night-in.

Highlight of the day: The stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour at the Aje show, watching models walk down the runway as boats were docking nearby.
