My week on Instagram

My family and I have escaped the craziness in the lead up to Christmas this week and have had such a fun time in the US. We took the girls to Disneyland for the first time and they had an absolute ball. They dressed up in their favourite princess looks and got to meet their favourite Disney characters, not to mention check out all the rides (the teacup ride was a fave!). We also headed over to Aspen for a spot of skiing. It was great to introduce Grace to the sport for the first time. She was a natural on skis and was zipping around in no time! It was also a particularly beautiful spot to spend my birthday. I always love a destination birthday

This week I also shared my top tips for buying Christmas presents for the little ones in your life. If you’re still on the look out for the ideal gifts for the kids on your Christmas list, then definitely check this post out — hopefully it’ll help you tick off a few more names!

My week on Instagram

1st December, 2019

This week had its ups and downs. We farewelled my beloved grandfather who played such an important role in my life growing up, but also in my kids’ lives. We miss him greatly but we’re comforted by all the wonderful memories we have of him.

I had the opportunity to work with some really great brands this week. I hosted a breakfast for Vida Glow, and got behind the Shop Small campaign that aims to promote local small businesses. I popped into gorgeous Sydney florist Poho Flowers, a favourite haunt of mine as they always have the most insanely beautiful range of blooms.

The one thing I was looking forward to this entire week was heading off on holiday. We’re off to LA, with our first stop most definitely Disneyland. The girls have been counting down the days! I’m looking forward to the breatk and having a lot of fun as a family.

My week on Instagram

I love having full weeks where I’m able to enjoy doing work related events and also spending time with my family. This week was just like that and whilst it was hectic, I had a great time.

I was invited to host the launch of Witchery’s Summer ’19 collection aboard Seadeck which was a fabulous way to enjoy the Sydney sunshine. It’s always great to be able to catch up with people at events and it was lovely to see model Laura Dundovic and stylish Donny Galella at this particular event.

I support various charities, and this week I attended The Ladies Luncheon 2019 to raise fund for the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation. The event helped raise an incredible $340,000 which will go towards helping the hospital care for premature babies.

But without a doubt the highlight of my week was spending quality time with the girls. It was excitement all round as we visited Santa at Sydney’s QVB. The girls were particularly excited to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Then we headed off to the spend the night at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga Zoo where needless to say, Sophia and Grace had an incredible time — so did Luke and I for that matter!

It’s always a great week when I get to play with some fun looks. This week I was able to attend the most gorgeous event hosted by Dior at Swifts, a beautiful mansion located in Sydney’s Darling Point. We were transported to Marrakech, with the grounds making us feel as if we were in Morocco, a world away from Sydney. It was also the perfect opportunity to wear another Maticevski beauty, this time around a monochrome dress with an architectural feature that truly elevated it from just any event look.

A total departure from that particular look, I opted for a vibrant red Rachel Zoe suit to wear whilst on hosting duties for 7 Racing at the Caulfield Cup. I’m usual a neutrals girl but never pass up the opportunity to go bold and bright. And if there’s one thing I’m loving at the moment it’s striking suiting that’s designed to stand out in a crowd.

Story time is such a special moment for my family but for nearly 32 million young children this experience isn’t the same due to deafness. I’m a proud ambassador for Huawei’s StorySign app which uses Huawei AI to make a real difference to deaf children and their families; helping children to learn how to read and connect with their favourite story books. Huawei wants StorySign to be universally available to help as many deaf children and their families around the world. That’s why I’m excited to announce they are making StorySign available on iOS (for Apple devices) as well as Android and in American Sign Language (ASL) as well as the 10 local sign languages it is already available in (British, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Irish, Belgian Flemish, Belgian French, Swiss-German, Swiss-French, and Australian). @huaweimobileau #Huawei #StorySign

After an exciting start to the week with a Roosters grand final win it was all about fashion this week with some beautiful looks from some of my favourite Aussie designers. The stunning Maticevski dress I wore on a recent shoot for Lexus was an feat of sartorial architecture with some truly gorgeous finishes and a whole lot of drama. Whilst on reporting duties for 7 Racing yesterday, I went for a whole lot of glamour with a colourful sequinned Rachel Gilbert dress. And this week I opened up my closet doors and took you through a few of my favourite pieces and some of my key tips for organising a wardrobe.

It was another big week for spring racing events this week. I was excited to host the Seed Heritage Spring Racing Luncheon previewing a number of the brand’s key race day looks. Not only were the looks classic, polished and on trend, they’re also quite budget-friendly so you won’t break the bank styling your next look for the races whether it be Melbourne Cup, Derby Day or other big spring racing event.

I also had fun with pink this week! From a gorgeous spring dress in bubblegum pink to the cerise mini dress I wore for 7 Racing reporting duties over the weekend, it really is one of my go-to colours of late. Definitely consider it the next time you have to pull together a look for a casual lunch or dressy event.

It’s been a fun-filled week this week. Given story time with my girls is without a doubt the highlight of my day, I was thrilled to announce that I’ve become an ambassador for Huawei’s Story Sign app which uses Huawei AI technology to help deaf children enjoy story time. For deaf children, learning sign language is crucial for cognitive, social and psychological development and to provide an avenue to help facilitate this is so important.

Another big event this week was that Elle Australia came to visit me at home and have done an article delving into my wardrobe. I chat to the magazine about everything from spring racing style to my love of shoes and I share a peek into my closet and a number of my favourite pieces.

I’m well and truly in the midst of spring racing now which means I’ve got a packed calendar of events over the next few weeks. This weekend I attended the Colgate Optic White Stakes Day at Sydney’s Royal Randwick whose ‘splash of red’ dress code allowed me to embrace a classic look with some vibrant touches including a red hat and a bold lip.

It’s also been the week for some fun fashion! I went from a baby blue floral pants and blouse set one minute to earthy tones whilst shooting for Lexus at the dreamy Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley the next.

This week, I’ve been so excited to kick off all my spring racing partnerships. It’s always a big time of year for me and I’m always so lucky to be able to work with some really great brands.

I’m thrilled to be partnering up with luxury jewellery house Chaumet for spring racing again this year. And this week I was so happy to be able to attend a beautiful dinner the brand hosted at Quay restaurant, to officially welcome the arrival of the Josephine High Jewellery collection. They’ve always got some really exquisite pieces so I am very much looking forward to showcasing the range across my race day outfits.

I spent some time in Melbourne this week to attend the Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out (VAEFNO). The shopping extravaganza is an event I always look forward to for the great shopping, the fashion and beauty installations and also being able to hang out in the American Express Lounge. And this year, it once again didn’t disappoint (I may have snapped up a new purchase or two as well!

It was also the week for fun, new looks. The dress code for VAEFNO was New York City block party so I snapped up a fun look for the event incorporating a Balmain blazer and silver MSGM skirt. Whilst I also had the opportunity to rock my new fave—a Camilla and Marc skirt suit which I can see being a constant in my wardrobe this season.

I also had the opportunity to end my week in the most gorgeous way—seeing Sophia perform in her first dance concert. She was thoroughly excited by it all and I was so proud seeing her on stage!
