One of my favourite prints to wear through winter is a beautiful check. There’s something classic yet modern about it and I think it makes a great focal point to any look. This double breasted blazer by Hansen and Gretel is the ideal berry shade to wear at this time of year, whilst the style can be worked back with numerous looks—everything from jeans and a tee to a skirt or a dress. I decided to work within a similar colour palette and pair it with a patent skirt allowing me to play with contrasting textures at the same time. To dress up this look I opted for black Aquazzura pumps which add a sleek touch. I wanted to add another textural element to my outfit so went with an unexpected accessory in the form of a top handle basket bag. The natural vibe provides the perfect contrast to the polished feel of the rest of my ensemble. I can’t leave the house without a pair of sunglasses as a finishing touch and decided on rimless frames by Le Specs—a contemporary design that also adds a cool detail and the ideal final accoutrement.
