What I Wore: Classic Chic

20th June, 2020

While my style repertoire of late has been all about comfort (hello jeans and sneakers), it’s always nice to be able to embrace ultra feminine looks every so often. This was a look I was considering for Fashion Week this year and it’s definitely something I can see myself wearing for another occasion down the track.

A pleated skirt is a year round staple that can easily be dressed up or down. In this instance I’ve worn this Dion Lee piece it in a really polished way, but it can easily be worn with sneakers and a tee. White is also such a fresh look for winter and really livens up an ensemble. I opted for a 50s inspired look with a classic black Christian Dior shirt and a Dion Lee cardigan cinched in with a waist belt making for truly ladylike dressing.

I stuck to monochrome accessories to keep things sleek and sophisticated. Delicate black heels by Camilla and Marc and a white structured Bulgari Serpenti bag were the ideal finishing touches. Both have a feminine aesthetic but have such a strong look and feel that they’re able to really ground this entire outfit.
