Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Dress Ups

11th August, 2023

One of the best ways to mix it up when it comes to winter dressing is a gorgeous long sleeved dress. It’s the perfect transeasonal look as you can layer it during winter, then ease it into spring/summer with some lighter pieces. This lattice print shirt dress by Witchery is a great option as it is elevated by the bold print while the finishing touches including the wrap tie feature and the tiered hem give it a feminine feel.

When I’m still dealing with cooler temperatures, a pair of boots is the ideal option to keep me warm when I’m wearing a dress. A pair of suede knee high boots is a must, because it manages to look both dressy and casual at the same time, depending on what you’re pairing it with. I like the fact this Witchery pair is a little bit slouchy so it feels more relaxed.

Once the weather starts warming up, this dress could be worn with the buttons not done all the way to the top to give it a more effortless feel, then worked back with a pair of slides or sandals, or even a pair of sneakers. Anything that can be worn year round is a great investment as it means you can have a piece on high rotation, and boost your cost per wear.
