What I Wore: Seeing Green

14th August, 2018

One of the best ways to maximise the use of your wardrobe is being able to dress pieces up or down. This Hansen and Gretel dress is gorgeous in the evening with its tie-back detail and satiny fabric but it’s become an easy go-to for me on weekends too. The trick is popping a tee or long sleeved top underneath whenever I want to turn a slip dress into something more casual. It’s a 90s throwback that’s quickly become an on trend look, and one of my shortcuts for getting double the wear out of my slip dresses.

I really wanted the gorgeous olive green shade of the dress to be the focal point so I kept the rest of my outfit quite pared back. My favourite white Gucci sneakers are the perfect shoes to wear with pretty much anything in my closet as they’re so simple and understated and really work with a multitude of outfits. Cat eye sunglasses add a touch of fun to my ensemble while my black Oroton clutch is a classic piece that’s made daytime-friendly by wearing it as a crossbody bag. When I’m looking for elevated off duty style, a sleek dress has definitely become a reliable option that’s both comfortable and stylish.
