Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

9th March, 2023

Today was a week for Aussie labels and there’s nothing I love more than championing homegrown brands. I wholeheartedly believe we have some of the best designers in the world, so it’s great to be able to wear local brands as much as I can. I’ve had a few different work-related commitments this week so I went for lots of polished looks, with a few fun accessories thrown into the mix. Here’s what I wore this week.

I love the monochromatic feel of this look from Manning Cartell. The pencil skirt features a silver, metallic lace overlay which adds a touch of futuristic glam to this outfit, while the white blouse helps ground it. The heels from Christian Louboutin are a new addition and I can see myself wearing them with several different looks. The mini bag from Oroton taps into the white hues of the outfit, helping to tie everything together.

Fun, playful prints are always in my wheelhouse—I love tapping into them during the warmer months in particular. Right now, I’m taking advantage of the continuing warm weather with this Significant Other dress with side cut outs and tropical themed embroidery. Paired with a Sparrow’s Weave basket bag and yellow Hermes slides to tie into the florals on the dress, I’ll be making the most of this look until it gets too cold to do so!

Rebecca Vallance pieces are always in rotation in my wardrobe, particularly when it comes to dresses. This striped number with the puffed sleeves and cinched waist is one of my favourite kinds of silhouettes as it’s ultra flattering. Also, I love a bold print. I loved the pairing of the basket bag and Hermes slides so much that I decided to hit repeat with this particular look.

I wrote about this Scanlan Theodore dress that was on sale previously, and as you can see, I loved it so much that it came home with me. The teal hue is a little unexpected and makes for a nice hit of colour. Also, ribbed knit dresses are not only on trend this season, but also ultra comfortable too. I added a few pops of gold jewellery to work against the boldness of the dress and really accentuate it.
