My fave stores for a budget fashion fix

While I think there are certain things in your wardrobe worth investing in, I also love shopping in chain stores. You don’t always need to spend big to get fashion forward pieces. And when it comes to trends, there may be certain things that will only last for one season so you don’t want to blow your budget for something that will be short lived. We have plenty of great chain stores in Australia but these are my fave places to shop when I’m looking for an inexpensive fashion fix.

ASOS

OK it’s not technically a bricks and mortar store (though how good would it be if it was?) but ASOS is my go-to place for finding everything from jeans to maternity clothes. I love shopping online and ASOS in particular is always a place I head to for lots of on-trend pieces that won’t break the bank.

Topshop

A welcome addition to the chain store line up in Australia. You can always find lots of great pieces in Topshop whether you’re after the latest trends or whether you’re just looking for basics such as tees and singlets.

Witchery

A great place for classic pieces that are well made and will last for more than a season. Witchery’s a great place for blouses and tops, but they also do a good range of staples such as pants and skirts. It’s the ideal place to check out if you’re looking to update your work wardrobe.

Country Road

Country Road has really lifted its game over the last few years. I’ve spotted lots of great pieces that look fresh off the ready-to-wear runway.

Seed Heritage

A good shopping destination for everything from sandals to shorts and blouses. The range is great for casual, laid back pieces that still look perfectly polished. (The kids’ line is great too!)

Sheike

I recently wore a great skirt and cape combination from Sheike when I was hosting an event and I personally think it’s something that wouldn’t look out of place in an expensive boutique. Sheike do good on-trend items but also check out their range the next time you’re after an outfit for a wedding or a night out – they’ve got quite a nice selection of dresses.

American Apparel

Basics. Basics. Basics. I’m all about American Apparel when it comes to things like tees and shorts. I was even wearing American Apparel on my wedding day (well, when I was getting ready!).

What are your fave chain stores?
