Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Elevated Tropicana

29th November, 2022

One of the easiest shortcuts during summer is a matching set. I’m particularly all about printed numbers, and this co-ord set with its hibiscus print is such a great option for the warmer weather. It’s a slightly more grown up, sophisticated take on a tropical print and works great against the forest green hue. Also the shirred feature on the top and skirt makes for a flattering fit as it really cinches in the waist. The puff sleeve top would work beautifully with a wide leg pant or tailored shorts, while the skirt would work well paired with a tank or bodysuit. The appeal of being able to wear a matching set as separates is what makes them so versatile, and such a great buy in terms of cost per wear.

I wanted to dress this look up a bit so opted for a pair of Chanel slingbacks. However if I wanted to dress it down, I could easily go for a pair of slides or sandals, even a sneaker and take it into a more casual direction. A cream mini Apede Mod bag was the final touch and helped to add a dressy element to this look.
