Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: The Modern

4th July, 2023

I was so thrilled to be invited by Witchery to showcase a few pieces from their current range. My style philosophy is always tailored with a fashion-ey edge and there are definitely a number of great pieces currently in store which meet that brief. White is definitely one of the go-to colours of the season, and there’s something about wearing crisp white when the weather is cold that helps brighten up any look, even when it’s freezing outside. This dress, called the Modern Cuff Midi Dress, has a refined silhouette with elegant touches like the waist belt and oversized cuffs, which make it a versatile piece to have in your wardrobe as it can work for myriad occasions.

When it came to accessorising this dress I opted for understated simplicity. There’s a lovely fluidity to the dress which allows it to drape really nicely, so I didn’t want to interrupt it by over engineering the outfit with too many accessories. So, I opted for a winter staple, a pair of knee high boots. It has a practical block heel which makes it ideal for a day spent out and about, while a simple shoulder bag with chain detail adds a bold touch.
