Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

25th November, 2021

With pockets of sunshine between the rainy days this week, I was able to wear a few new pieces that are probably a bit more into summer territory, but also had to revert back to slightly more cool weather pieces. Such is life with transseasonal weather, am I right? That said, I was excited to be able to embrace some fresh looks, ranging from summer frocks to a two piece knit set I’m all about right now. Here’s what I wore this week.

I adore this new set by the label Significant Other. I love the oatmeal hue as it’s so easily worked back with multiple things and also the ribbed texture which gives it an element of interest. I like the tie feature on the top as it gives it a bit more of a statement feel and allows it to hold its own when worked back with other things such as jeans or tailored pants. I don’t think you can ever really go wrong with a set, because it’s such an easy shortcut to a stylish look.

You can’t go wrong with jeans and a white top, so I often embrace this look but just switch out the pieces. In this instance I wore a white sleeveless tee with padded shoulder detail by Good American and paired them with a pair of high waisted jeans. I wore this top when out and about running errands as it’s comfy yet polished.

I love having a collection of dresses on hand as I can always rely on them on days when I need to get out the door fast. This sleeveless, military inspired dress by Acler is the perfect elevated casual look I love because it can work for myriad occasions. I can wear this dress to go shopping, to hang out with the girls, go out to lunch or head out to a meeting. All it requires is to change up the accessories which is always the sign of a great wardrobe piece.

Bold brights are always my fave thing about summery pieces and this dress, by one of my go-to labels Steele is a new piece I have introduced into my weekly outfit rotation. It’s so comfy, and so fun with its floral print and vibrant pink hues. The gathered neckline and the puff sleeves also give it a feminine touch. I wore simple Chanel slingbacks on this day as I wanted to dress it up a bit, but it easily works with a great pair of sandals. I added a pair of peach Le Specs sunnies to finish off the look.
