Fashion, What I Wore

What I wore this week

5th January, 2023

Happy New Year everyone! I’m currently in post-Christmas, school holiday mode so my looks have really been featuring everything from comfy dresses to polished tailoring to cater to the different things currently in the calendar. But what I’ve discovered in the process is that I’m really in love with a number of different pieces that I introduced to my summer wardrobe. It goes to show how good a little forward planning is at it’s meant that I currently have a really wearable warm weather wardrobe with a lot of versatility.

This fawn maxi is a great one to see me through so many different occasions. It’s ultra comfortable and has become a bit of an easy staple to throw on when I’m spending the day with the girls. I often pair it with a pair of slides and a cute bag and I’m done. The colour is also quite versatile given it’s a neutral.

I am really into great tailored pants at the moment and I’ve found they’re a style that can easily be dressed up or down. In this instance, I wore these pants with a strapless top to give it a more on trend feel. Accessorising called for simple pieces, so I went with a nude heel by Scanlan Theodore and a mini Gucci Jackie bag.

Matching pyjama sets are huge this season so I have been wholeheartedly embracing them. There’s so many options to choose from! I love them in a nice flowy fabric for an easy breezy feel, and a vibrant print. I have been using them as a go-to for the event wear as they look polished, but feels very on trend.

A colourful mini dress is very much a summer staple of late. I love the print of this Manning Cartell dress as it’s such a punchy pattern and makes a statement. It’s a great go-to for event wear. I went for neutral accessories like this white Strathberry bag and nude Scanlan heels to complement the vivid hues in the dress and let the colour shine.
