ModelCo Women of Influence

I’m always busy and on the go with my job but I’m also the first to admit that it also gives me the opportunity to enjoy some pretty amazing experiences sometimes. One such amazing experience was recently hanging out on an island with some truly wonderful and inspirational women. I was lucky enough to be invited to the Women of Influence event organised by Shelley Barrett, the founder and CEO of ModelCo. The event took place at the One & Only resort on Hayman Island (a truly spectacular resort, but that’s a post for another time!) which provided a picturesque backdrop for a few days of female bonding.

Shelley gathered together a great group of women that included Erika Heynatz, Anna Heinrich, Sally Obermeeder, Tash Oakley and Melissa Hoyer. I’ve known some of these women for years and while we sometimes run into each other at various events, it was nice to actually spend some proper down time together. We spent the three days relaxing on a boat cruise, trading stories over lunches and dinners and enjoying a cocktail or two. (I wish more work days involved lounging by a pool!). It was also lovely to be able to have Luke and Sophia there to enjoy the experience with. One thing is for sure, I left the event truly inspired.
