What I Wore: Sharpen Up

3rd September, 2019

I’ve been after a skirt suit that’s sharp but not too dressy to take me through spring. I knew I wanted it to be the ideal go-to look for everything from a work meeting to an event so I was quite particular about the colour and shape. This neutral set by Camilla and Marc definitely fits the brief. The double breasted jacket with contrasting buttons is just the right vibe to be versatile whilst pairing it back with a skirt gives it a feminine feel.

Given the suit is quite pared back I decided to dial up the boldness of my accessories. I knew I wanted a statement bag with this ensemble so this logo Fendi tote was the ideal option. It’s just the right size to take me through the day and punchy enough with the classic Fendi Fs. I also like the fact it looks professional but still has a fashion forward feel.

When it comes to my shoes I decided on strappy Giuseppe Zanotti sandals with a crystal heel. The interesting heel really gives it a modern and glam touch. Whilst the final finishing touch was a pair of skinny Poppy Lissiman sunglasses. I found the thin profile really adds a contemporary feel to an otherwise classic look.

What I Wore: Fun in Fendi

27th August, 2019

As you know I’m a huge fan of neutrals for their versatility and wearability. However every so often a neutral garment is elevated into something more by its finishing details. Case in point: this Fendi blazer. Not only is it a beautiful cut, the subtle white trim throughout gives it a dramatic touch, but the piece de resistance is the bow at the back. I love pieces that feature a statement back detail as generally it’s so unexpected. It’s a great element of surprise.

There’s no other better pairing with a blazer than a crisp white shirt. This smart button down number (also by Fendi) features a simple embroidered logo near the hip, which I think is a quirky touch that differentiates it. For this occasion, I decided to cut through the dressiness of my ensemble by pairing it with jeans. I think a touch of denim adds a relaxed vibe that is the perfect counterpoint to sleek, polished pieces.

I don’t usually go for matching pieces but I couldn’t resist the oversized tote in the same hues as my blazer. I like the inverse colour palette and the fact that it’s roomy enough to fit all my essentials and any extras that may pop up. Finishing off my look, are my black Aquazzura heels and slim Poppy Lissiman cat eye sunglasses.

Cute gym clothes that will make you want to work out

20th January, 2018

If one of your New Year’s resolutions involved doing more exercise, you’re in luck because there’s never been a better time to shop for gym clothes. The extensive range of prints, colours and styles available right now means there’s definitely something to suit all tastes and budgets. And let’s face it, sometimes there’s just no better motivator than the excuse to wear a cute outfit.

I’m all about a simple colour palette and often favour black, white and navy and I’ve extended this to my workout looks as it often makes it easier to mix and match different pieces. I’ll sometimes add a few subtle prints in the mix just to keep things fun and inject a bit of energy into my fitness wardrobe. Having made a resolution to incorporate more training into my schedule, I’ve been scouting around for the perfect pieces to exercise in, and these in particular have caught my eye…

Plain white sneakers are really versatile but who can resist a little graphic detail to elevate this style staple.

Chanel Vintage Sports Line duffle gym bag

I’ll preface this by saying this piece would be a complete and utter splurge but you’ve got to hand it to Chanel for turning a gym bag into a stylish carryall.

Nike Air Max Jewell sneakers

I love the blush shade of these sneakers and think they add a feminine touch to my gym kit.

The Upside Midnight Chop Short

Given the sweltering temperatures we’re experiencing at the moment, a pair of gym shorts are a must. The subtle coloured piping add a fashionable flair.

The Upside DJ Crew

I like the fact workout clothes nowadays could quite easily work with my regular wardrobe. With its kimono sleeves and logo feature, this top is right on trend.

Running Bare Ab Waisted Fight Club Full Length Tight

High waisted tights are great for providing support whilst working out but this pair is just that little bit extra due to the galactic print.

Fendi logo print performance t-shirt

Classic black with an understated logo this Fendi top takes workout tees to a new level. Made from mid weight stretch fabric and mesh panels, it’s the perfect marriage of form and function.

No Ka’Oi Ola performance bra

Major ticks for the striped elasticated detail on this sports bra. It lifts an all black piece and gives it a point of interest.

Puma Boyfriend tank

A white tank is always on high rotation for me and this one is the perfect shape and length.

What I Wore: Lexus LC 500 launch

13th June, 2017

One of the highlights of my trip to Melbourne for the launch of the Lexus LC 500 was the beautiful dinner we had at Doot Doot Doot restaurant at the Jackalope Hotel. The dress code was cocktail and I wanted to go for something a bit different, so instead of a dress I opted for a black long sleeved turtleneck and a floral maxi skirt. I thought it was just the right level of dressy for a formal dinner and was also incredibly comfortable so it ticked all the right boxes. My minimalist studded Alaia heels were the perfect shoes to complement the outfit and when paired with the black top it really allowed the bold print of the skirt to take centre stage.

What I Wore: Australian Fashion Week 2017 Day Four

17th May, 2017

Everything about this ensemble by Fendi is bold and vibrant which is perfect for another busy day at Fashion Week. As soon as I saw the balloon sleeves of this blouse I knew I wanted to continue the voluminous silhouette by pairing it with culottes. The waved pattern on the pants and the waved detailing on the blouse help give the outfit continuity along with the hints of blue in both. When it comes to volume it was important to have the nipped in waist of the pants in order to avoid the outfit from overwhelming my frame and the streamlined heels to act as a counterpoint to the billowy nature of the rest of my look. I also decided upon a forest green Camilla and Marc coat to complement the blue tones in my pants and blouse and kept accessories to a minimum-just a pair of Celine sunglasses and a simple Jerome Dreyfuss clutch.
