A polished look that plays with volumes. A roomy blouse paired with tailored pants with a cinched waist is a flattering silhouette.

A classic trench is perfect for taking you through trans-seasonal weather but take note of the 90s inspired accessories. A small shoulder bag and open-toe sandals are both musts this season.

When it comes to dresses, the long sleeved variety is the ideal thing to take you through changing temperatures. Choose one in a striking print and you’ll have an outfit that pretty much carries itself.

Experiment with different lengths when it comes to denim shorts this season. A pair of mid length shorts makes for a refreshing change to the shorter styles we’ve been seeing season after season.

Slowly, I started to heal my soul- and give myself the self-care I needed. And eventually I had some breakthrough aha moments that lead me to roll out a content strategy that CHANGED THE GAME FOR ME. Would you believe me if I told you these simple shifts helped me grow my account 100k in over one year? Would you believe me if I told you I feel more proud of my art and the network/community I’ve built than ever before? // I WANT THIS FOR YOU TOO!!!!! // That’s why I wrote this FREE workshop for you! An all white ensemble is a fashion no-brainer—sleek, stylish and goes well against a golden (faux) tan so it’s made for this time of year. Work different necklines such as a one shoulder or off the shoulder style for a fresh look and team it back with pants.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B3KujeupX4A/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Want a way to revamp a few of your existing blazers? Belt it! You’ll instantly change the silhouette and make it look on trend, whilst giving yourself an ultra flattering waistline.

Double denim for the win. Work similar washes against each other and it brings cohesion to the entire look. A cropped jacket works well against a high waisted pant.

These culottes are a great go-to look for the summer—polished, sleek and with a modern sensibility. This is also a great example of challenging how we wear leather— it can often go beyond just the old faithful option of a leather jacket.

If you’re worried wide leg pants will swamp your frame try them in a cropped length. They look beautiful paired with a blouse and heels, and don’t be afraid to add a bright pop of colour.

Ending fashion week in my favourite @_aje_ mini

A post shared by Izi Simundic (@izisimundic) on

It’s all about playing with proportions this season. If you want to dip your toe into the trend, try a voluminous sleeve.

A crisp white shirt is a forever staple but this season why not accentuate it with a few punchy accessories? A bold headband or daring footwear works beautifully to offset its classic feel.

The cardigan but make it sexy. That’s right this staple has had a bit of a glow up simply by buttoning it up and exposing a little shoulder. Genius.

It was another big week for spring racing events this week. I was excited to host the Seed Heritage Spring Racing Luncheon previewing a number of the brand’s key race day looks. Not only were the looks classic, polished and on trend, they’re also quite budget-friendly so you won’t break the bank styling your next look for the races whether it be Melbourne Cup, Derby Day or other big spring racing event.

I also had fun with pink this week! From a gorgeous spring dress in bubblegum pink to the cerise mini dress I wore for 7 Racing reporting duties over the weekend, it really is one of my go-to colours of late. Definitely consider it the next time you have to pull together a look for a casual lunch or dressy event.

With another big week ahead of me, I’m looking forward to sharing more great spring racing looks with you!

It’s been a fun-filled week this week. Given story time with my girls is without a doubt the highlight of my day, I was thrilled to announce that I’ve become an ambassador for Huawei’s Story Sign app which uses Huawei AI technology to help deaf children enjoy story time. For deaf children, learning sign language is crucial for cognitive, social and psychological development and to provide an avenue to help facilitate this is so important.

Another big event this week was that Elle Australia came to visit me at home and have done an article delving into my wardrobe. I chat to the magazine about everything from spring racing style to my love of shoes and I share a peek into my closet and a number of my favourite pieces.

I’m well and truly in the midst of spring racing now which means I’ve got a packed calendar of events over the next few weeks. This weekend I attended the Colgate Optic White Stakes Day at Sydney’s Royal Randwick whose ‘splash of red’ dress code allowed me to embrace a classic look with some vibrant touches including a red hat and a bold lip.

It’s also been the week for some fun fashion! I went from a baby blue floral pants and blouse set one minute to earthy tones whilst shooting for Lexus at the dreamy Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley the next.

Looking forward to another style-filled week!

This week, I’ve been so excited to kick off all my spring racing partnerships. It’s always a big time of year for me and I’m always so lucky to be able to work with some really great brands.

I’m thrilled to be partnering up with luxury jewellery house Chaumet for spring racing again this year. And this week I was so happy to be able to attend a beautiful dinner the brand hosted at Quay restaurant, to officially welcome the arrival of the Josephine High Jewellery collection. They’ve always got some really exquisite pieces so I am very much looking forward to showcasing the range across my race day outfits.

Colgate White Optic Stakes Day is also just around the corner and if you’re attending, be sure to check out below my video shot in collaboration with Elle Australia. I take you through my tips for the ‘splash of red’ theme which is a perfect reason to go bright and bold with your look.

9th September, 2019

We’ve officially welcomed spring and that means warmer days ahead! I love this time of year as it means it’s almost time to put into hibernation my winter woolies for another year and it’s time to embrace some easy breezy fashion. However it also means that we’re still poised to navigate the dreaded trans-seasonal weather up ahead so it’s time to bear in mind looks that will work for warm days and slightly cooler nights. With that in mind, here are a few stylish looks that are worth copying and pasting into your own wardrobe.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1mZ0y6hiJr/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

A crisp white shirt is a wardrobe must-have but it can sometimes seem a little too formal. So, why not dress it down a little by tying it up? Worn this way, it’s easily worn with everything from shorts to skirts.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B01DDrWJRXn/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Never underestimate the power of a striped shirt! You can utilise long sleeved shirts during trans-seasonal weather by pairing it with a skirt or lightweight pants for the ultimate in looks that will work through a range of temperatures.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BzQ-ehAi5ig/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Want an easy way to update any outfit? Invest in a straw/basket bag. It’s very of the moment and will work perfectly over the next few months of light dressing.

If you own a pair of strappy sandals this is one way to inject some new life into it. Try tying the straps around your pants for a fun way to give it some freshness.

Sequins during the day? Why not! This is a perfect example of how to work traditionally night time appropriate pieces and dress them down to wear during the day. Find your most fabulous dressy pieces, pair them with a tee and you’re set.

This is one way to wear a midriff top without flashing too much skin. Pair a cropped top with a pair of high waisted pants for a look that’s flattering and surprisingly elongating to the figure.

Embed this in your mental styling files as it’s another great trans-seasonal look. Pants and a long sleeved shirt worn back with slides is a polished autumn look that’s still weather appropriate.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1T5fPGhhv1/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

A jumpsuit is such an easy outfit option, as much like a dress, you don’t have to worry about having to match tops and bottoms. Also the addition of a pair of high top trainers makes it an unexpected look that works dressy and casual.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0dumkFJJF6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Don’t pop your boots into storage just yet. A white top and denim cutoffs worn with boots is one way to dress up a casual look and give it a bit of an edge.

A knitted co-ord set is a great example of textural play at work. It looks dressy but is also lightweight enough to work through spring/summer. Plus you can easily wear both pieces as separates, increasing their versatility.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0LTB_XFy8C/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

The bermuda short is back! If you’re after a bit more coverage this summer but also want to be bang on trend, incorporate one of these into your wardrobe.

A bit of double denim action is one way to wear this most versatile of fabrics. Plus the cropped denim jacket is a different way to wear one of my go-to pieces for this time of year.

We spent some time at our family farm during the past week which is always one of my favourite ways to spend a weekend and kick start the coming week. It was a special occasion as we threw a party to celebrate Grace’s third birthday and had the most wonderful time with family and friends. I still can’t believe she’s now three!

Also we’ve enjoyed a few warm days in Sydney this week which is a reminder that trans-seasonal weather is almost upon us. Because of this I’ve been on the hunt for pieces that can be worn for both warm and cool weather. One piece I’ve found is the below long sleeved Zimmermann dress. A great option for when temperatures are still unpredictable and the detail is amazing. The florals and ruching are a killer combination and I love the floral print. Plus you can’t ever really go wrong when it comes to Zimmermann.

Hope you all have a great week!

12 Insta-outfit ideas to steal

5th August, 2019

If there’s one thing that you can never have too much of it’s outfit inspiration. I know that when faced with a morning wardrobe meltdown on occasion, there’s no better lifeline than having a quick scroll through some great looks to get the styling juices flowing. And no matter your style, if there’s one thing that Instagram is not lacking for, it’s a plethora of stylish women who seriously know how to put an outfit together. So prepare to bookmark these looks—they’ll save you the next time you think you have to nothing to wear.

A little neutral on neutral is always a classic, failsafe outfit option. Love the play on volume with this look, incorporating a voluminous blouse and sleek pencil skirt.

Sometimes all an outfit needs to energise it is a few fun accessories. Denim can instantly be lifted with bold pops of colour and some great prints.

Don’t be afraid to turn suiting on its head — cropped pants, a patterned blazer and on trend accessories instantly make it up-to-the-minute.

Working with a single colour in your outfit can make for a standout look. In this instance working one block hue with a pattern distills the shade into something that’s striking without being overwhelming.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByDiINBgqZc/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Blazers are a wardrobe must but why not mix it up by opting for one in a vibrant colour and adding it to your style repertoire? It’s an easy way to update most looks and always looks polished.

Beige and white paired together is a match made in heaven. It’s sharp, chic and always has a classic feel. It’s a great colour palette to turn to when you want a failsafe look.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0fpIRQBLvf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Tailored pants worked back with heeled thongs (the unexpected comeback kid of the season!) is a sleek, on trend look with an effortless vibe. You want to bookmark this combination for future reference.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bz5GVWBhj_7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

We’ve still got another month of winter yet so make the most of it by dressing up your outfits with a bold, patterned coat. It’s an easy shortcut to refreshing old favourites.

A little satin and a co-ord set is an easy shortcut for when you want a look that’s effortlessly stylish. Also take note: wearing the same hue from top to bottom is a great way to elongate the body.

https://www.instagram.com/p/ByxD-GJpTf0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

We’ll be making our way into trans-seasonal dressing again and one way to get through it is to do a long sleeved dress with boots. It’s a look that can easily take you from warm to cool and back again with ease.

If you haven’t yet got an animal print piece in your wardrobe make a point of doing so because it can surprisingly work as a neutral. It’s versatile in that it can be dressed up or down and adds a punchy touch to a look.

The midi skirt is one piece that can easily be switched up depending on what you pair it with. Keep it casual with a sweater and sneakers, but dress it up with a cami and slides. Either way, it’s a definite style chameleon.

It was a winter themed week on Instagram. I shared my favourite new teddy coat which along with being one of the most popular trends of the season has got to be one of the best ways to keep warm I’ve encountered yet. Soft, cosy and stylish, this Ducie coat was my What I Wore star of the week. In fact I love it so much I’ve been wearing it non-stop including my trip to Queenstown over the weekend. Luke and I started by toasting the trip ahead at the airport before flying to New Zealand with some good friends for the weekend. Not only was it relaxing and the scenery stunning but one of my best friends got engaged over there! It certainly was one of the most memorable weekends I’ve had!

Whilst hanging out with my family at my parents’ farm in the Southern Highlands was great, the highlight of the week was definitely celebrating my 7th wedding anniversary with Luke. We married in one of my favourite places in the world, Taormina in Italy and it was without a doubt one of the best days of my entire life—I wish we could relive the entire thing all over again! I always like to reminisce on the day whenever our anniversary rolls around (if you want to check out photos from the day, I shared some of my fave snaps from my album here) and as the years go by, I’m so happy to have Luke by my side through everything.

Hope you have a great week ahead!
