Fashion, What I Wore

What I Wore: Light and Bright

16th March, 2021

With autumn upon officially upon us, I’m not complaining that we’re still getting some last minute summer weather making an appearance. This has meant I’ve been able to extend my warm weather wardrobe just that little but further, and I was glad for the excuse to wear this Camilla and Marc dress. This particular design has been one of the standout pieces from the brand’s latest collection, and I’ve already worn it to a racing event, and will continue to do so until it’s time to officially transition into jumpers and coats. I love the simplicity in design of this dress, with the elegant midi length, and feminine finishes such as the puff sleeves and ribbon ties. The deep V-neck also gives it a touch of edge, and helps to avoid it from looking too saccharine. Plus, I’m on board with anything in a crisp white.

Choosing my accessories for this piece, I wanted to go for hues that would contrast well with the colour of the dress so naturally I gravitated towards something black for a monochrome effect. My Bottega Veneta heels have served me well over the last few weeks and have been the perfect event shoe, and fit the brief for what I was looking for. When it came to bag choice, I went for a dusty pink Staud bag. It has that soft, relaxed shape that’s trending right now, and worked well to complement the slightly more structured feel of the dress. As a final finishing touch I went for white sunglasses to add a hint of dramatic flair.
